During today's meeting minutes, as a group we spoke about few planning elements. In order to develop and clarify our ideas, development and research we decided to carry out a questionnaire. This will significantly help us with making suitable decisions. Here are few screen shots representing questions which we thought would be valid in making final decisions about the genre of music as well as other elements of the product such as concept or characters.
This is a set of questions which we came up with as a group. We thought about the choice of questions before, in order to get as much help as we can from it to make suitable decisions. We started off by asking the age and gender in order to make sure the questionnaire is not biased and it reaches wide range of audience. The use of Survey Monkey website allowed our questionnaire to be more professional. Besides, from that the Survey Monkey website keeps our questionnaire open, meaning anyone can answer it. In order to make our audience even wider, we sent out the questionnaire on an school email (screen shot can be seen below). We also printed out 20 copies to hand out to any volunteers.
Besides, from the questionnaire during this meeting minutes we came to a conclusion in terms of our roles within the group. We discussed our already gathered skills in order to make our roles most suitable and successful. We came up with following conclusions:
GROUP MEMBER ROLES :
- DIRECTOR (MAGDALENA ZYGMUNT)
I decided to become a director due to my organization skills, good time management and leading / collaboration skills. This will help me to successfully direct the team and given tasks. At the same time my previous experiences and complementary subjects such as photography and art will help me to implement the skills to a role of director. I will be able to turn theoretical ideas into visual realities demonstrating my creativity and imagination.
- EDITOR (DAWID TOMCZUK)
Dawid got assigned to the role of editor due to his interest in editing software and already gained skills which show clear confidence and passion. The fact that he is already familiar with various soft wares such as Photoshop, Sony Vegas Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects shows that he already has skills to approach the role of editor. His confidence as well as experience will be essential within the construction and editing process of our music video.
- SOUND (ERNEST STASZAK)
Ernest got assigned to the role of sound manager due to his passion and interest for music. The fact that he plays on a guitar increases his passion and knowledge about various kinds of music, beat, base and so on. Working along with the editor, his role will be essential for our group to recognize the music aspects and to balance, mix and edit the sounds enhancing the recorded scenes.
- CAMERA PERSON (SPLIT BETWEEN THE GROUP)
We decided to share the role of camera management between the group as there is only three of us. I think this will be useful as we are going to be more experimental and thoughtful while working on this aspect together. At the same time this will help us to be more accurate at realisation of our story line. We will be able to guide each other and help at the same time, finding the most suitable angles and shots. My role of the director will also contribute to this allowing me to incorporate a good sense of visual composition, perspective and movement.
During our next meeting minutes we are going to be discussing the questionnaire results which will influence our final decisions in terms of the music genre, the codes and conventions and characters. This will help us with the research as well as planning.
